Purpose, product and commercial model
Inside Auto Panel.
Vehicle damage appraisal and quote-drafting SaaS
AutoPanel is a vertical SaaS proposition for body shops, assessors and vehicle operators. Users provide vehicle and damage information, and the platform helps organise visible issues into an appraisal, repair scope and initial quotation draft. The aim is to reduce repetitive estimating work while keeping a qualified human responsible for final inspection, pricing and safety decisions. The product can monetise by appraisal volume or business subscription, with auditability and evidence retention forming the trust layer.
Who the business serves
Independent bodyshops, motor traders, yards and small fleet operators are the initial customers. They need a faster first assessment of visible damage, likely repair work and the effect on a buying or repair decision. Larger insurer and claims workflows are a later market, rather than the starting sales strategy.
Product and operating model
The plan combines guided photo or video capture, structured damage notes, an estimate builder and branded reports. Configurable parts and labour assumptions support quote drafts, while a trader calculator considers purchase, recovery, fees, expected resale and repair uncertainty. Evidence quality and confidence labels are essential: an early estimate requires human approval and may change after physical inspection.
Intended revenue streams
The commercial model below describes the intended ways this business can earn income. It does not represent verified sales, customers or recurring revenue.
- Business subscriptions
- Recurring access for operators preparing repeat appraisals and quote drafts.
- Appraisal usage
- Report allowances or additional processing can be packaged around resource use and actual commercial needs.
- Professional and team plans
- Branded reports, team operations and later integrations support higher-value business packages.
Development intentions
Launch with assisted notes and human-approved estimates, then improve automation from real appraisal and repair outcomes. Licensed estimating data, advanced computer vision and enterprise claims connections follow paid evidence. The intended product assists professional judgement; the plan does not establish autonomous final repair assessments.
