Buyer guide

How to read a business listing.

Each page brings together a live site, a business proposition, measured activity and an initial guide price. These are different kinds of evidence. Reading them separately is the best way to decide what to investigate next.

Four signals, four limits

What the figures actually say.

Live product

The linked website shows the product or current public experience you can inspect today.

It does not prove: A working page does not prove customers, revenue, stock or ownership of every third-party component.

Measured pageviews

The rolling 30-day figure records observed visits to that property in the connected traffic snapshot.

It does not prove: Visits are not unique buyers, conversions or a promise that the same traffic will continue.

Planning Page RPM

A category assumption used to model possible advertising value per 1,000 pageviews.

It does not prove: It is not an AdSense statement, approved account status or realised ad income.

Guide price

Investor Andrew's starting view of the value of the named brand, product and proposed transfer package.

It does not prove: It is not an independent valuation or a binding offer; the final agreement sets the assets and price.

Advertising estimates

A model is not revenue.

Where a listing shows estimated advertising value, the calculation starts with measured pageviews and multiplies them by a planning Page RPM. For example, 1,000 pageviews at a planning RPM of £6 produce a £6 estimate. That arithmetic does not mean an ad network has approved the property, that ads were displayed, or that £6 was earned.

Actual yield would depend on approval, content, audience location, consent, ad demand, viewability and many other factors. The portfolio performance page explains the aggregate method and labels reporting gaps rather than treating missing measurements as zero.

The same caution applies to planned business models. Some sites demonstrate a developed product; others describe a proposition that still needs execution. Inspect the live site and ask for evidence before relying on any commercial assumption.

Product totals and site age

The catalogue and its history.

Product totals count published listings. Drafts, variants and withheld supplier records are excluded. A product shared across two stores contributes to each store’s total, so portfolio totals can overlap.

Where the first publication date is unknown, site age is a minimum based on the earliest verified activity retained in the portfolio record. “Active by” is not a claimed launch date. The site may have existed before its earliest recorded visit.

A practical review

Five checks before you proceed.

  1. 1Open the linked site and test the visitor journey on desktop and mobile.
  2. 2Ask which features, content, integrations and accounts are live, planned or dependent on a third party.
  3. 3Review the traffic source and trend, including the dates and reporting coverage behind the figures.
  4. 4Check domain ownership, intellectual-property rights, transferable licences and any required replacement-domain migration.
  5. 5Confirm the exact assets, liabilities, transition support and completion conditions in a written agreement.
